“The Metropolitan Police Department announces the arrest of the suspect responsible for a stabbing spree that left six people injured in the Trinidad community in Northeast.

On Thursday, April 3, 2025, at approximately 3:21 p.m., Fifth District officers were called to the 1200 block of Meigs Place, Northeast for the report of multiple stabbing victims. (more…)

“When is Lou’s coming back??” Sorry to say there are currently no plans to reopen.

1400 Irving Street, NW opened here back in 2011.

Well I’ve been putting this off because I’ve been hoping for a miracle. In January we posted that “Lou’s City Bar has been closed for a few weeks for a “winter refresh” in Columbia Heights. Hopefully only temporary and not “temporary”…”. Turns out it was “temporary” aka permanent despite best efforts. (more…)
