“Dear PoPville,
I went to Manhattan Market in Woodley Park today (surprised they were open) and asked the gentleman when the last day was. He told me they’re not closing – that they found a way to stay open. I didn’t press him for details but glad to hear they’ll go forward.”

Simple Bar & Grill, a Brightwood institution for over 12 years (& located just north of Petworth on Georgia Ave) has had to close its doors. As they are now faced with financial challenges due to the unexpected closure, I’ve started a GoFundMe to help with the unforeseen expenses.”
