But honestly, times are tough these days and real harm is being done to our community, especially those of us that are black and brown. The city has been resilient, the people are protesting, and hopefully we’ll all survive these troubled times.
In order to not let the bastards beat us down, the race must go on. This coming Monday, we’ll be doing it up as we have these last three years. There will be stupidity, there will be fun, there will be drinking, and, of course, hot dogs. Hopefully, there won’t be any federal goons.
FYI: $5 of every ticket goes directly to our friends at Bread for the City. Their work is more vital than ever.
