“The DowntownDC Business Improvement District (BID) and Shaolin Jazz will host their fourth annual DowntownDC Summer Flicks – CAN I KICK IT? movie series on the recently reopened National Building Museum’s West Lawn. The outdoor, cinematic experience starts Tuesday, May 25, 2021, and will be accompanied by a social distancing lawn design.

The free movie series will run for 10 consecutive Tuesday nights from May 25 through July 27. Movies will begin at sunset and attendees are encouraged to arrive at 7:30 pm for best seating. (more…)

“Roadside Development and NASH, are pleased to announce that City Ridge will top out this week. The last concrete deck for the project was poured on May 18, 2021. This last deck sits on the south end of the lawn in front of the former Fannie Mae building that is currently being redeveloped as the future home of International Baccalaureate’s Global Centre for the Americas. The first of six residential buildings located behind the Fannie Mae building topped out in November 2020, and the last residential building topped out the first week of May 2021. (more…)

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Sexual Assault Unit announce an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with Intent to Commit First Degree Sexual Abuse offense that occurred on Saturday, May 22, 2021, in the 2900 Block of Adams Mill Road, Northwest.

At approximately 8:45 am, the suspect approached the female victim, on a trail, at the listed location. The suspect assaulted the victim with the intention of committing a sexual act. (more…)
