Could you give some visibility to this petition to build a dog park for Wards 7 & 8!
There are currently 16 dog parks in the District, but none have been built in these wards despite continued requests from residents.
A DC Redditor recently posted giving some background on this very sad situation.”

Ed. Note: Sankofa also applied for a liquor license back in 2011. Not sure if that went ever went through or not.

Another reader tells me they heard the closing will be: “mid-July”.

TBSP (The Best Sandwich Place) at 1776 I St NW is back again serving up some of the best sandwiches and salads in the area (yes, I’m biased based on the proximity to my office). Hopefully they get a lot of love from the downtown lunch crowd – so thrilled they survived the pandemic. Current hours are 8:00am-3:30pm.”
