The DowntownDC Holiday Market will once again transform F Street NW between 7th and 9th Streets NW into a vibrant winter village, open daily from November 21 through December 23, 2025. In August, my friends and I came back to our car (we share it between the 3 of us) in Lanier Heights at the cross streets of Ontario Road and Ontario Place to find that it had been hit. A very kind stranger left a note explaining that a FedEx truck had hit the car and gave us the license plate information. (more…)

This iconic DC tradition will take place on Tuesday, October 28th at 5:00 PM at 17th Street NW and R Street NW.
The night will include live performances from your local favorites, a costume contest, and, of course, the high heel race kicking off at 9:00 PM. Whether you’re going for first place, taking a casual stroll, or just came to admire the costumes, this is an event you won’t want to miss!
Pre-race performances begin at 5:00 PM, Racer registration opens at 7:30 PM, and the race begins promptly at 9:00 PM.”
