On Wednesday, June 11, the PTTP Congressional Baseball Game Pre-Party with Gin Blossoms will take place at The Bullpen (1201 Half Street, SE) in support of true price transparency in healthcare. The event will run from 5:00-7:00 PM EDT, with doors opening at 4:00 PM EDT and the concert starting at 6:00 PM EDT sharp.

“The Metropolitan Police Department responded to large groups of juveniles who gathered in the Navy Yard on Saturday evening, causing disturbances, creating disorder, and committing at least two robberies. This type of behavior is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.

MPD officers responded quickly to address the situation and ensure the safety of residents and visitors. Three juveniles were arrested. (more…)

“The Metropolitan Police Department announces two arrests in an armed carjacking that occurred in the Navy Yard area.

On Friday, May 9, 2025, at approximately 12:08 p.m., the suspects approached the victim, who was exiting their car, in the 1200 block of 4th Street, Southeast. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s car keys. After obtaining the victim’s keys, the suspects fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. (more…)
