Heads Up – “emergency responders will simulate a smoke/fire incident” in the tunnel outside of the Stadium Armory Metro Sunday

“Metro Transit Police and the District of Columbia Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department will conduct a full-scale emergency response drill at Stadium-Armory Station on Sunday, August 23, from 7:45 a.m. until approximately 10 a.m.

During the exercise, emergency responders will simulate a smoke/fire incident in the tunnel outside of Stadium Armory. Metropolitan Police Department and DC Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency also will participate in the exercise.

“Shooting on Tuckerman Street, NW, Yesterday [Tuesday] 5 pm?

I am currently out of town and my pet- and house-sitter reported that there was a shoot-out yesterday in the 600 block of Tuckerman Street, NW, last night. I looked at listserv messages but didn’t see anything to this effect (not sure if I missed it). Could MPD please provide more info about this?!”

“A witness reported that two subjects were shooting at each other, no injuries were reported. Both subjects fled the scene and have not been identified. They are described as:

1. Black male, wearing a gray hoodie and jeans armed with a black handgun
2. Black male , wearing a purple shirt and unknown color shorts
