“Dear PoPville,
Tuesday evening (3/27) around 8:30pm, I was walking NW on Adams Mill Road toward the zoo, on the west side of the street. I noticed four young men come out of Walter Pierce Park behind me and follow me. Since it was not particularly late, I wasn’t concerned at first, but looking back, I noticed that they all wore parka hoodies and had the hoods pulled up over their heads, and they weren’t speaking. The street was getting darker as I walked down the hill past Ontario Road, and I decided against putting my earbuds in so I could focus on what was happening behind me, as it appeared they were walking quickly, catching up to me. “Dear PoPville,
This weekend I received a bizarre notice from DC OTR saying that they have no record of my 2015 tax filings — and that I need to reply within 30 days with proof of my 2015 filing or face penalties, fines, and assessments.
It seems that quite a few of our neighbors got a similar letter/notice from the DC OTR stating that OTR has no record of their DC tax return or payment from 2014 or 2015, that they should share their return and a canceled check with them as proof that of filing, and that there will be assessments and penalties if they don’t do this within 30 days.
