Early Morning Shooting Just Off H Street, NE – Arrest Made

“On Sunday, February 3, 2019 at approximately 5:30 AM, First District patrol units responded to a 911 report of gunshots in the 1200 Block of Linden Place NE.

Upon arrival at the location, patrol units discovered an adult female with a gunshot wound to the lower body. The victim was evaluated on scene before being transported by DCFEMS ambulance to area hospital where she was admitted in stable condition.

Subsequent on scene investigation by First District Detectives and patrol units has resulted in the arrest of a male subject for ADW Gun. The subject was arrested without incident and has been transported to the First District for arrest processing.”

Shooting inside of Quara Restaurant on H Street, NE Just After Midnight

“First District units are investigating a shooting that occurred shortly after midnight inside of “Quara” restaurant located at 818 H Street NE. Witnesses are reporting that some type of verbal altercation took place inside that escalated to a male subject pulling out a gun and shooting it at another patron. The victim was found inside suffering from several gunshot wounds and was transported to a local hospital. Big Fire on the 1300 Block of H Street, NE – Possibly Red Rocks

“We are very thankful for the brave first responders @DCfireems and @DCPoliceDept who quickly took control of the situation and extingushed a fire that ignited on our roof deck last night. Their work minimized a fire that not only could have been devastating for RedRocks but also our neighbors on 13th Street. We are grateful that no one was injured and are very appreciative of the support received from our loyal customers, friends and neighbors in the H Street community. We are working hard to clean up the mess and hope to reopen real soon. Thank you for all the emails, messages, and continued support.

“Working Fire 1300 block H St NE. Fire involving roof deck on 2 story commercial building. No injuries.”

Lisa reports:

“Everyone stay safe. I’m not sure but it looks like red rocks or something next to it is on fire. A LOT of flames coming from the rooftop of the building. Five firetrucks I can see.”

A Bullet “passed through a window of a residence” last night in NoMa/Near North East

“Earlier tonight officers responded to a call for sounds of gunshots in the area of the 600 block of Orleans PL NE. Units canvassed the area and learned that a round had passed through a window of a residence in the 1100 block of 6th St NE. No injuries were reported. Anyone with any information regarding this offense are urged to contact MPD at 202-727-9099 or via text at 50411.”
