Update from Rock and Roll Hotel: “December and January are notoriously slow. We have national acts confirmed that cannot yet be announced. Not sure where this rumor is coming from, but it is false and they are misinformed.

NYE 2020 goes on sale at Noon Today which was already scheduled. Our normal programming of rooftop open and 2nd floor DJs are all in place.”

As of 12:10pm they just added to their calendar:

“November 29, 2019 @ 8:00 am – January 4, 2020 @ 5:00 pm
DC Djs – 2nd Floor – Free

Rock & Roll Hotel’s legendary dance floor keeps moving and shaking with a wide range of Top 40, anthems, and dance hits brought to you by some of DC’s finest Djs! 2ND FLOOR | FREE | 10PM – 3AM | 21+”

The tipster has a very good record but was only 50/50 on this. So keep that in mind. At any rate back in 2013 we first noted that the building was listed for sale. I hadn’t heard much since then. But then the tipster wrote in. And now is the curious part. (more…)

“Someone not only turned onto the streetcar bridge but kept driving until he hit the literal tracks.”

Most folks thought Lyft/Uber driver but I’m going with following the GPS given the Alabama license plates.

Thanks to Brandon for sending:

“Taken this past weekend in the parking garage of the H St NE Giant. I think the Challenger SRT gets about 13 MPG in the city. Mustang is probably a bit better. There was plenty of other parking available. Which made this even more hilarious.”
