“On 1/22/21 at approximately 5:09 pm, First District officers responded to the 1200 block of H Street NE for the report of a shooting. On the scene, officers located an adult male victim with a gunshot wound to the leg. (more…)

I just bought a townhouse on H and 13th st NE (YAY!) and there are still burglar bars on the basement windows… do you think they are still necessary in that area? I’m personally an overly trusting person, but I feel like they are unnecessary in 2021. Any thoughts?”

From MPD: “Hop-In Motor Vehicle Thefts Last Night
At approximately 12:10 AM, in the alley of the 200 block of 10th St. SE, a victim left his car running when he got out to open his parking gate. An unknown suspect then entered his vehicle and drove away. The victim suffered some injury when he tried to hold onto the car as it pulled away and fell.
At approximately 12:28 AM, in the 900 block of H St. NE, a victim left his car running when he parked and got out to throw away some trash. A juvenile suspect then entered his vehicle and attempted to drive away but was unable to put the car in gear. (more…)

I randomly googled it today, and the website indicates they are reopening for delivery and takeout with a new address listed. A Twitter post from 1/1/21 indicates delivery “coming soon.” Great news!”
