“I’m on the scene with officers and detectives at 3rd and H Streets NE where an Armed Carjacking (Knife) occurred at approximately 8 PM. The victim is unharmed but a 2007 BMW 5-Series with West Virginia tags 757185 was taken. If you see this vehicle, do not take any action other than immediately calling 911. If you witnessed this offense occur or have relevant information to share, please call 202-727-9099 or anonymously text 50-411.

“On 4/15/21 at 8:35 pm, First District officers responded to the 700 block of 10th St NE for the report of an carjacking. The victim reported that they were approached by an suspect armed with a handgun. The suspect demanded the victims vehicle. The victim complied and the suspect was last seen fleeing in a 2015 Ford Escape with VA tags in the 900 block of H St NE. (more…)

“On 3/11/21, 1D officers and detectives made an arrest closing out four recent burglary cases in the H Street NE corridor. The adult male suspect has been charged with Burglary (2nd Degree) related to establishments in the 400, 500, 1100 and 1200 blocks of H Street NE from February 25th to March 11th. First District detectives are continuing to investigate these events as well as any links to other crimes in the area. A press release with additional information will be forthcoming once the suspect has been presented in DC Superior Court.”
