Thanks to @allyyygator for tweeting us the update above about Rocklands expansion in Glover Park. Looks like in about 3 weeks. Back in May of last we learned that Rocklands would be expanding into the former Max’s Best Ice Cream shop next door to it’s current space at 2416 Wisconsin Ave, NW.

“Walking by today noticed Mad Fox finally has a sign in their window. Word from them at Glover Park Day is they are still stuck in the DC permit process. Hoping to open by the end of 2014 now. Talk about setbacks.”

“The Metropolitan Police Department has announced an arrest has been made in the sexual assault of a juvenile which was reported on Friday, May 2, 2014 in the Glover Park area in Northwest, DC.
On Wednesday, May 7, 2014, members from the Youth Investigations Division obtained a District of Columbia Superior Court arrest warrant for 37-year-old, Juan Manuel Flores of Alexandria, VA, charging him with First Degree Child Sexual Abuse. Officers from the Alexandria Police Department arrested Juan Flores in the 1400 block of North Beauregard Street, Alexandria, VA.”
