“Chef Aulie Bunyarataphan and Proprietor Mel Oursinsiri, the dynamic husband and wife team behind a portfolio of the region’s ground breaking Thai restaurants, are proud to announce the return of Bangkok Joe’s. The heartbeat of the “new” restaurant is the much beloved Dumpling Bar, which will serve an expanded selection of hand-crafted delicacies. Exotic tastes and aromas of the Bangkok street food Aulie experienced as a child, along with Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese and even French flavors she picked up as a result of her culinary experiences in the United States are featured on the restaurant’s expansive menu. The menu includes a large selection of new dishes incorporating more traditional Thai flavors to appeal to diners expanding palates and openness to trying authentic global cuisines as well as customer favorites. The restaurant will open in March in its original location in Georgetown’s Washington Harbour. A new Happy Hour is planned for early summer. Saw this going around twitter last night from Sip With Socialites. Not the President or First Lady but still pretty cool…

Ed. Note: I have a very similar hat. I’ve had that hat for over 10 years now. I don’t want people making fun of me when they see me wearing that hat. I had it first damn it.

Speaking of hats, did I mention I was raising money for the for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation in their fight to end Childhood Cancers? I’ll be shaving my head March 13th with Team Boundary Stone and you guys have been incredibly generous. For those who still wish to do so (and get a PoPville shirt for your kindness too) please consider donating here. Thanks for considering and thanks again to all who’ve already done so!!

“Dear PoPville,

Just walked by the canal and noticed it is very low or maybe drained. Are they doing work on it?”

Anyone happen to know what’s up?
