The liquor license placard for Chanterelle says:

“A New Class “C” French restaurant. The restaurant will have 216 indoor seats, and a Total Occupancy Load of 325. The Licensee is requesting an Entertainment Endorsement to include indoor and outdoor Live Entertainment, as well as a 60 seat Summer Garden, and a 30 seat Sidewalk Café.”

Back in February we learned:

“José Andrés’ ThinkFoodGroup is proud to announce that this Summer, America Eats Tavern will return to Washington, D.C., offering guests the opportunity to experience an inventive take on some of the country’s most iconic and historic dishes and drinks, with a spotlight on local and regional flavors. Taking up residence in the former Old Glory Bar-B-Que space, America Eats Tavern will be located in the heart of the historic Georgetown neighborhood at 3139 M Street NW.

In addition to the American classics that guests know and love, Andrés will be introducing barbeque to the restaurant’s menu to add to the culinary experience, as well as a more casual ambiance. Andrés and his culinary team have conducted extensive research to identify the best products available, highlighting local meats, seafood, wines, cheeses, beers and other products from the mid-Atlantic region.”

Official word has finally come down on Dolcezza Gelato’s first location closing for good:

“It’s official, we’ve outgrown our Georgetown store. We started making gelato here in 2004. It’s where we found ourselves, new friends and experimented with flavors and brews. It’s bittersweet that we need more space to grow. Thank you, thank you for 14 years of fun.”

So with sweets on mind – where’s your favorite spot for a sweet after dinner? Hell we’re adults, perhaps your favorite spot for dinner?
