Thanks to a reader for sending: “ran by the Brooks Brothers store on Connecticut in Dupont, and appears that a number of “Retail space available” signs went up over the weekend. Website confirms the location is now closed permanently. Between this and the Georgetown location closure, may be the death knell for Brooks Brothers in DC.” (more…)

From an email: “As you may know, we had a fire at the Four Seasons Hotel in Bourbon Steak last Saturday. Our staff courageously packed up the food and ended up moving two weddings to the Watergate. With pretty extensive damage our team was devastated about when they would be able to return to work. We came together as a team and made lemons into lemonade by developing a very casual pop up concept run from Eno and into our garden. (more…)

“Church Hall DC, the American beer hall and neighborhood destination located at Georgetown Park, is opening a pop-up biergarten along Georgetown’s historic C&O canal this Wednesday, August 19th.
The biergarten will feature a carefully curated menu. New items like natural bratwurst, gourmet hot dogs, watermelon feta salad with a lemon dressing and a watermelon gazpacho will be available for outdoor dining. In addition the new menu will feature local beers from DC, Maryland, Delaware and Virginia as well as a signature cocktail menu featuring DC distilled spirits.
