Cathedral Commons Starbucks to be the First in DC to Sell Wine and Craft Beer After April 14th

“Mornings are more productive with a little caffeine, and after April 14, evenings will be more pleasant with the addition of more menu options including wine, craft beer, and small plates at the existing Cathedral Commons Starbucks. The “Evenings” store concepts have debuted throughout the country since 2010, and the Cathedral Commons location will be the very first in the Washington, D.C. region. Consumer eating habits have evolved into a pattern of snacking on small meals throughout the day, which helped influence the small plate assortment in Evenings stores. National Cathedral’s Seeing Deeper – Picnic Friday

“Washington National Cathedral will host a midwinter picnic inside its central nave on Friday, February 5, 2016 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. The picnic, which is expected draw hundreds of attendees, will cap the Cathedral’s annual week-long “Seeing Deeper” program that transforms the interior of the nation’s church to give area residents and tourists a fresh view of the building through a series of unique and interactive events. Picnic goers are encouraged to pack a basket, grab their family and friends, and join an exciting evening featuring performances by GW Troubadours, a co-ed acapella group based at The George Washington University.

The picnic is free and open to the public. Alcohol, glass, and metal chairs are prohibited.

Cupcakes, Frozen Yogurt, Doughnuts, Olive Oil remains hot in the District! Next up – Ah Love Oil & Vinegar – coming to the new Cathedral Commons development next to the Starbucks on Wisconsin.

Suspects Sought: Assault with the Intent to Commit First Degree Sexual Abuse

“The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in connection with an assault with the intent to commit a sexual offense that occurred in the 4100 block of Massachusetts Ave N.W.

On Saturday, May 2, 2015, at approximately 12:40 am, an adult female was walking in the 4100 block of Massachusetts Ave N.W., where she was approached by the suspect who assaulted her with the intent to commit a sexual offense.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5’10”, approximately 25 years of age, medium to dark complexion, short black hair, clean shaven, and last seen wearing a white short-sleeve crew neck t-shirt with a black stripe on the chest area, and dark colored pants.

Anyone who has information regarding this case should call police at 202-727-9099. Additionally, information may be submitted to the TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411.”

“The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating four suspects in connection with an assault with the intent to commit first degree sexual abuse and robbery offenses that occurred in the 2200 block of 18th Street NW.

On Sunday, May 3, 2015, at approximately 2:50 am, an adult female was walking in the 2200 block of 18th Street NW, where she was approached by four suspects. Two of the suspects assaulted her with the intent to commit a first degree sexual abuse offense. The victim was also robbed during the commission of the assault.

Suspect number one is described as a black male last seen wearing a black and white sweat suit. Suspects two through four are described as black males.”
