    I just love these things. There is a book – The Stone Carvers: Master Craftsmen of Washington National Cathedral (Marjorie Hunt) – that has a documentary based on the book – that looks at the craftsmen behind the carvings at the Cathedral.

    *Technically, to be a “Gargoyle” a grotesque would need a spout built into it, to convey water off of the roof and away from the sides of a building, but I digress…
