“On April 29, 2021, at approximately 11:51 AM, gunfire was reported in the 5400 block of 5th Street NW. Officers responded and discovered multiple casings in the area. The Fourth District Detectives are investigating the incident.

“The Fourth District is investigating an Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm and Destruction of Property that occurred on March 26, 2021, at approximately 5:30 p.m. in the 5400 block of Illinois Avenue NW. The suspects are described as two black males 20-30 years old who fled in a grey SUV South on Illinois Avenue NW. On my way to work this morning, as I was attempting to clean my windshield …I turn on my wipers and realized someone removed my wiper blades.
As I continued driving to work my fuel cap indicator began to blink on my console. I pulled over thinking I needed to tighten up my fuel cap, and realized that was gone.
It would appear individuals are removing car parts from vehicles at night.
The only positive outcome is that the thieves did not vandalize my car!”
