This condo is located at 1812 Wyoming Ave., NW in Adams Morgan:

The flier says:

While the photo I took says 1812 I believe this particular unit is located in the rowhome next door. (Those are the photos from Redfin.) That is a pretty wild building in the photo above. I guess there is a staircase in the middle of that structure? Anyway, back to the condo – it looks pretty sweet from the virtual tour. It’s also a stone’s throw from 18th Street. So do you think the new price of $524,000 sounds reasonable?

Casa Oaxaca is located at 2106 18th St, NW in Adams Morgan. I’ve never eaten here before but I recall there was some good buzz when they opened up. So what’s the word? How’s the food? (Prices can be found with a menu on their Web site. The ambiance?

I remember in a previous post someone was raving about So’s Your Mom located at 1831 Columbia Rd NW. The reviews on Yelp were equally glowing. So what’s the story – is this place as great as everyone says? Any particular specialties/sandwiches that are a must buy?

Check It Out – Shawarma King Opens Up at 1654 Columbia Road

Back in August we learned of the opening. The day has arrived and they beat the Shawarma Spot set to open up on 18th Street. It seems DC’s going Shawarma crazy. I was alerted by a commenter and checked it out this weekend. Because I am odd I tried the falafel and it was delicious. The owners are from Bethlehem so they got some Middle East shawarma cred. The grand opening is set for 2 weeks or so but the store will continue its soft opening until that point. Check out some interior photos and the menu after the jump. (more…)

Dahlak is located at 1771 U St., NW. I’ve been interested in this place because it seems to be a new spot for live music. But I’m wondering how the food is – any fans of the food out there? I guess while we’re at it – how is the venue for live music?

Looks like the Shawarma Spot is coming to 18th Street in Adams Morgan where the Hot Dog place used to be. First Caliyogurt and now this – sweet. So does anyone have a favorite spot to get a shawarma already?

Grand opening is this Friday Saturday. The store is located at 2473 18th St., NW. In addition to frozen yogurt, oddly and happily, they also have an impressive selection of teas. I thought that was pretty funny since I had just asked where was the best spot to get some loose tea?

Festivus Celebrated In Adams Morgan!

Thanks a million to a reader for giving me the heads up on this. This is perhaps one of the greatest things I’ve ever seen. It is located at the corner of 18th and Columbia. Of course, those who are fans of Seinfeld will appreciate this set up right away. For those that are not familiar you can read about it here. One of the most popular features of Festivus is the airing of grievances. Here at PoP we apparently celebrate Festivus twice a week with our own airing of grievances with the Random Reader Rants/Revels. In Adams Morgan there are note pads where people write their grievances. It is brilliant!
