Back in June of ’08 I wrote how the ACKC shop at 1529 14th St, NW is about much more than the just chocolate. At the time I was talking about art. This time I’m talking about liquor. They have applied for a liquor license. I was just talking with a friend about hot liquor drinks so the potential here could be huge…

Bread & Chocolate is located at 2301 M Street, NW (though they also have Chevy Chase and Alexandria locations.) I don’t get around to the West End that often but this cafe was super crowded on Sunday. You can see their menus here. Any fans out there? For those that don’t live nearby is it worth the journey?

Who is this ad supposed to be appealing to guys or girls? I’m not really a huge chocolate fan but when I look at this ad, I just want to get her a napkin.

I know there are many fans of chocolate shops here so I thought I share my “discovery” when I was walking up 18th Street. It’s a bit hidden because you have to walk down some steps to get in the front door. Biagio Chocolate is located at 1904 18th St. NW. Its Web site says:
“Biagio Fine Chocolate’s mission is to provide the Washington, DC metropolitan area with the finest collection of chocolate and chocolate related products from around the world. Biagio Fine Chocolate is a destination for fine chocolate in the National Capital Region and aspires to become an important business contributor to the local economy and community.”
Any fans out there?
