Back in March we saw lines like this and readers again say it’s free marijuana seeds. One reader writes:

“It wraps around the corner into the alleyway (just south of Amsterdam Falafel). They are giving away seeds, actual female seedling plants, smoking supplies, hemp products, and growing tutorial info. Hundreds out there. This is organized by DC Norml. The giveaway is happening at Libertine restaurant. ”

Subterranean Sakuramen now sees the light! Almost exactly a year ago we learned that Sakuramen would be expanding into the former Botanica Yemaya space upstairs. For those not familiar with the deliciousness at Sakuramen – you can check out their menu here. I’m told that the new upstairs space is opening up soon, possibly today. Check out the great new mural done by Henley Bounkhong, a self-taught ballpoint pen artist, aka Golden Rabbit Silent Monkey:

Back in September 2014 we learned that La Fourchette was for sale (open since 1978 in Adams Morgan.) At the time it was listed at $2,900,000. I just noticed a new listing today with a $300k price drop:

“PEPCO reports a power outage centered in the Adams Morgan & northern Dupont Circle areas. Approximately 2,000 customers are affected. PEPCO has multiple crews on the scene working on the problem. There is no estimated time of repair yet. DC DDOT is sending crews to the area to assist. However, please be careful when driving, and treat all malfunctioning traffic signals as stop signs.”
