Last week I had this masterpiece from Dupont Market (1807 18th Street, NW.) I get my eggs fried medium, with swiss cheese on a ciabatta roll (but for me any roll will do.)
What is the perfect BEC to you? What type of cheese, what type of bread etc.? And most importantly where do you get yours?
When having this discussion the other day, Bikes and Pints suggested:
“Galludet District should be the name. Union Market would be a distinct name then.”
Would that work for announcing restaurants/retail coming to the area that aren’t technically in the Union Market building? Or do you prefer NoMa? or just sticking with Union Market area/district? Something else?

Councilmember Brooke Pinto wrote in response to a Sports Illustrated article:
“A thriving Capitol One arena in the center of Downtown DC cannot be taken for granted. It is also vital for the economic recovery of our city. We must all stand together to ensure @MonSportsNet continue to call DC home.”
Sports Illustrated wrote: “Monumental Sports & Entertainment—the group that owns the Wizards and Capitals, as well as the Mystics—has reportedly spoken to governmental officials about potentially moving the two teams from Washington D.C. to Northern Virginia”
So if, God forbid, any of those teams moved – would you still support them? Would you travel to Crystal City/Ballston/Northern Virginia to catch a game live?
Let me start off by saying I absolute 100% would and look forward to doing so. My wife disagrees with me. So let’s settle this – would you? Read More
June 24, 2013 was a day like no other. Rest in Peace Rusty, we will never forget you.
With that in mind, what is your most iconic DC memory? It could be good or bad. For those who were here on 9/11, it’s hard to explain. Inaugurations, protests? Other moments like Rusty’s escape?
1608 Wisconsin Ave, NW
I was admiring Oki Bowl’s little side patio the other day, and given our glorious spring, Canadian forest fires excepted, I thought this would be a good FQotD – where are your favorite outdoor drinking/dining spots? Rooftops? Patios? Streateries?

Given the code red air quality let’s take the opportunity talk indoor fun. Besides your favorite museums, where are some other of your favorite indoor places to spend time in? Union Market? The remaining movie theaters? The Botanic gardens? Nanny O’Briens?
“Dear PoPville,
A friend of mine insists on calling the area south of Florida Avenue and north of V Street “SoFlo” to differentiate from “U Street,” which he says could mean anything. I tell him it’s dumb, but he won’t stop. Can we get some sort of reader poll on whether this is kosher or not?“

Such a tough question. Favorite Smithsonian? Favorite private? Favorite art? Favorite history? Favorite with outdoor space? (like the magnificent Hillwood above.) Favorite off the beaten path?
RIP Chinatown Coffee, photo by random lady
Today’s question comes via reader request: “Reaching out to see if you can ask DC about their favorite metro-accessible coffee shops with ample seating. Looking for a place to pop in and have a working coffee break. Or, a coffee shop that would reserve a spot for you!”
