A reader reports this was spotted “across the street from the SiriusXM building. Took it at 8:57. Police were there, fire fighters showed up at 5 minutes later and got it under control” “

104 Rhode Island Ave, NW
A reader reports just after 12:30pm: “Trash fire at the new sylvan bakery.”
And in all seriousness, I hope the fire didn’t damage the bakery too badly. And serious props to all who responded.

A reader reports:
“Wanted to make everyone aware of a car that was dumped and set on fire in the G Street block in NE. Someone set a car on fire right next to a fence that proceeded to set fire at 1030am yesterday. It is a miracle it didn’t continue down the fence and damage the entire row of backyards, the tree or heaven forbid the houses. Please neighbors stay on alert!”

A reader reports around 12:30am:
“Someone set fires to a few dumpsters all along 20th Street NW tonight between La Tomate and Filter Coffee Shop.”

A couple weeks ago there was a huge dumpster fire in Columbia Heights. Have we a dumpster fire bandit on our hands? All kidding aside these can easily get out of hand and cause tremendous damage. Props to the DCFD for the quick responses. Anyone else see what happened last night?

Thanks to a reader for sending around 2:15am last night. This is the curious new development around the corner from The Coupe at the old church we spoke about a couple weeks ago:

Thanks to Wendy for sending: “The place next door to the Brightwood Lofts has been abandoned a while, and this morning my dog and I woke up to find it on fire.”

Searches completed & no victims found. Investigation of cause continues. Early images of fire shown here. pic.twitter.com/kuZHWFmiFQ
