NOTORIOUS RBG: Have you seen the new RBG documentary yet? It follows the life and work of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg from her journey as one of the few women at Harvard Law School to becoming the second woman to be confirmed as a justice. KIDZ BOP: The only thing more majestic than the monuments at night? The monuments at night with live music. The DC Youth Orchestra will be parked in front of the Lincoln Memorial to play a free concert. ROYAL WEDDING TEA: It’s time to start the countdown to the Royal Wedding. Toast Harry and Meghan and get in the English spirit at a proper British tea. FILM FEST: Today kicks off the 2018 Asian Pacific American Film Festival, which runs through Sunday. Throughout the weekend, there will be several short and full-length film screenings, many by local Asian Pacific American artists. CRYSTAL BALLER: Look into the future tonight at the Embassy Row Hotel — there will be a psychic doing a tarot card reading at happy hour. TASTES LIKE IT SOUNDS:  Mixt&pe is a cocktail competition where local bartenders face off to see who can create the tastiest concoctions. The catch? PROOF: The play Proof won the Pulitzer Prize in 2001, and there will be a staged reading of the production tonight by the Shakespeare Theatre Company. After peeking into the pads, stick around for a panel of architects and interior designers talking about design. Funds from the tour will benefit St. John’s Episcopal Church. EATIN’ AND DRINKIN’: Another weekend, another food and drink festival. Head to the National Harbor today and tomorrow for the Wine & Food Festival. Aptly named, as it will be filled with tons of–you guessed it–wine and food. ART HOP: Jump from spot to spot in Takoma as part of its Art Hop today and tomorrow. NEW J. COLE ALBUM: Rapper J. Cole’s new album KOD came out at midnight last night. Its announcement earlier this week was a surprise, and not much is known about it–come check it out for yourself at Songbyrd’s listening get-together tonight. OPERA IN #METOO: An interesting discussion on opera works in the era of #MeToo will be hosted tonight. In a multi-dimensional form of art where many of the works are written by men, the notions of love, fear, control, and aggression are often present in many operas.
