For what feels like the 900th time (Saturday), I am standing outside a Metro station calling an Uber I can’t afford because the two Metro stations near me (Cleveland and Woodley Park) routinely have their entrance gates locked well after the trains have allegedly started running (see time stamp

Quick question in the hope that somebody has dealt with a similar situation and might have some advice.

We bought our condo 3 years ago and have lived there since. We have received the homestead deduction from the beginning on our tax bill and I sort of assumed that the application for this had been filed during closing.

On Friday, I reserved a parking spot through SpotHero at a garage near Maketto where I was meeting a date for restaurant week. The address is 765 8th St NE. I typed the address in for directions and headed there, already a little late. When I arrived, it was clearly the wrong location. Turns out, there are two locations of 765 8th St NE! (more…)

“Dear PoPville,

Last Friday my better half embarked on her usual hike through Rock Creek Park that begins off of 17th near Bancroft elementary school. Just as she was getting on the trail headed into the park, she tripped and hit her head on a rock. She was speed walking, fell pretty hard and was dazed. She got up and started to come back to our place when she passed out on 17th Street, fell again, and broke her nose. She had tried to call me but, hadn’t told me where she was. (more…)
