We witnessed a scary situation on Connecticut Ave in Cleveland Park yesterday (Sunday) around noon. A woman who was loading items into her car was hit by another driver and pinned between them for a very brief period. We called 911 while others offered her comfort until EMS arrived. (more…)

On Valentine’s Day, after seeing a movie at Atlantic Plumbing, my wife and I went to Mita, right across the street, for a drink before going home for dinner. Sat at the bar, place seemed really nice. I ordered an Old Fashioned, my wife ordered a glass of wine off the menu.

A longshot but:
“Dear PoPville,
A few years ago, during an office move, (the building was at 1120 19th St NW / Dupont Circle. I was abroad and could not move my paintings and when I came back they were gone.) I lost two paintings that I got in Haiti—artworks that hold deep sentimental and cultural value to me. Despite my best efforts, their whereabouts remain unknown. I’m hopeful that the community might help recover these cherished pieces.
I am more than willing to offer a reward for any information that leads to their recovery. (more…)
