Have you heard anything about a pedestrian crash on Saturday, April 26 around 530 or 6 pm on the on-ramp to the Roosevelt Bridge from RCP / I St NW? My wife and I saw a single car and a man lying on the ground with some people around him.
He was horrifically injured–I’ll spare you the details, but I can say without hesitation that it was the worst thing I’ve ever seen.
I think DC might have stopped traffic at some point–my wife said that Google Maps showed a standstill once we got home–but there must have been hundreds of cars that got past, and saw the grisly scene, before things were shut down.
I haven’t seen any reporting on it, and I’m curious what happened and if the guy managed to pull through.
(Side note: the fact that this didn’t make the news kinda scares me–i.e., the worst thing I’ve ever seen is so commonplace as to not even be worth a mention. Shudder.)”
