“Dear PoPville,

I’ve gone to the Center for Advanced Orthopaedics, and my health insurance company needs more information from them to process a claim. However, neither my insurance company nor I have been able to get through to anyone at the medical office – we’ve left several voicemails on their line. They do not provide an email address of any sort. (more…)

“Dear PoPville,

I was on a run in Rock Creek Park Tuesday and as I was enjoying the views of the creek and bright green spring leaves I spotted a bald eagle. It was awesome to see and was huge! I started to point it out to other people biking and jogging by on the trail and a little group formed. Fun to see everyone get excited to see it! There was one guy running by who I waved at to let him know and he stopped to check it out. (more…)

“Dear PoPville,

Anyone know why the lamp lights are flickering in both Washington Circle and Logan Circle at night? At least in Washington Circle, this has been going on mysteriously for years and I noticed the same in Logan Circle this weekend. Is it supposed to be a deterrent from people sleeping in the parks, an electrical issue, ghosts, or something else?”

“Dear PoPville,

Wondering if anyone else has had experience with the parking garage under The Chase at Bryant Street, run by Bozutto (680 Rhode Island Ave NE, Washington, DC 20002)

I was there on a Sunday two weeks ago for about 45 minutes to visit a retail location (District Dogs, they are amazing) that hadn’t completely opened yet. The parking garage is run by “Premium Parking” uses a confusing third-party app you’ve got to separately download. At the same time, the parking garage has no gates and also signs saying “Retail Parking Free!” (no specified time limit). There was even a garage attendant who said they didn’t know if the system was up and working. So I parked, did my errand, and left.

A week later this “citation” with a City of New Orleans seal shows up at my door. (more…)

“Dear PoPville,

Wondering if your readers know of any flower shops that make and sell flower leis in the area? Trying to find a few for an upcoming graduation without making them myself. Thank you in advance!”
