“Insane parking ticket – A DELAY OF ALMOST 8 YEARS???”

“Dear PoPville,

Just received a first notice by mail on 5/17/22 for a parking violation issued on 9/1/14 from Montgomery County. The notice is dated 5/5/22. The first sentence of the notice reads, “Please be advised that there was a delay in mailing this notice” – A DELAY OF ALMOST 8 YEARS??? They had the gall to then add a $50 penalty for late payment bringing the ticket to $110. AND in order to contest the ticket I need to post the amount due as collateral.

Asking the community if others have also received ridiculous parking tickets like this from MoCo; and how best to contest them? Is there some kind of statute of limitations on issuing first notices? There’s no way I can even remember this date to properly contest the ticket (also no address listed on the citation, just a road) and I don’t even own the ticketed vehicle anymore.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
