“When replacing service lines along with water mains, we noticed some of the historic data was not correct. This is more common on blocks or adjacent blocks where lead service lines are or were present. That’s why we are asking for your help to confirm the pipe material.”

Thanks to Kathryn for sending: “Looks like something new coming to 17th between Q and Corcoran–seems like a cafe in the former dry cleaners on the bottom level, which has been under construction for a bit. Exciting! Anyone know what it is?”

Packages, packages, packages! Package theft, stolen/open Amazon packages strewn on the streets and in alleys, those giant Amazon delivery containers left in building lobbies… But this is a different topic of conversation: constant stream of mis-delivered packages.
It seems at least once a week I walk around the surrounding blocks (10th and V to as far afield as 11th and Barry) delivering other peoples’ stuff. (more…)
