“Dear PoPville,

Hey Popville – I am about to move abroad to an area where I will need to drive, but automatic-transmission vehicles are scarce. I am looking for any leads on local instructors skilled at doing what no one in my family could: teaching me to drive a manual transmission. Thanks in advance!”

I was stopped on Florida Ave across from the Whole Foods by a nice guy who was surprised to see another fan of our middling but lovable team. I told him the score of the Brentford match that morning. “Dear PoPville,

We’ve had solar panels on our roof for several years. In months when we generated more electricity than we used, our bills always had a negative dollar amount and the credit balance could be used to cover the monthly base charges. This meant we usually only had a bill around Dec/Jan/Feb, and $0 bills the rest of the year.

The last few months however I’ve noticed a change. (more…)
