Last night the Mayor’s Office sent:
“Mayor Muriel Bowser will deploy the District Snow Team overnight to treat roads in advance of snow, and possibly sleet, predicted to begin falling on Monday between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. While overnight air and pavement temperatures are expected to hover at freezing, they will rise later in the day. And while it is possible to see half an inch to one inch of accumulation, the snow or sleet is likely to end by 11:00 a.m. (more…)

Back in the before days the above notice from OPM would signal waves of joy throughout the District. Alas, here we are (with not really much snow to boot). Readers wrote last night:
“OPM is showing Closed. Does that mean we actually get a snow day and not have to work from home? What are people hearing from their HRs?”
“Per the guidance I got if we telework we still have to telework”
So just curious, did anyone, Fed or not, actually get off today? Do we think snow days will ever return one day or teleworking will be the new normal for inclement weather days?
