Fear not for the Hilton brothers – Chez Billy Sud expanding in Georgetown. Sounds pretty sweet too – the addition next door (across from the patio) will have a wine bar and a capacity of about 100. In addition to wine there will be sweet and savory crepes, charcuterie and a “sizable cocktail list”. It’s a place where you can “relax before or after dinner in the dining room” according to co-owner Ian Hilton. If all goes well it should open in early Fall.

“Dear PoPville,

I’ve stopped by Mr. P’s (a ribs place noted by the presence of a big bus) the past two Sundays. Last Sunday, there were chairs and a few signs up listing hours. Today, there were no chairs and no indications of hours. I’d tried their phone number a few times, but got indications that the line was disconnected or voice mail?

Is it closed? Has it moved?”

Thanks to all who sent emails and tweets about FroZenYo closing in the former Ruby Tuesday space by the Verizon Center. They only opened up last year. Strange. Beginning of the end of Fro Yo in DC?

Ed. Note: I was able to check out a dinner here last month and it was phenomenal.

From Bespoke Supper Club [2212 Rhode Island Ave, NE]:

“While we are aiming to create a menu that is scrumptious for all diets, we’d really love to get as many people with gluten allergies to the table as we can! We are way too aware of the restrictions gluten intolerant people have when it comes to eating out at restaurants or events. So this is all about them :) Dates are, Feb. 18 and Feb. 25, both at 7:30pm.

People just need to sign up for the mailing list here to get the invite!”

While the menu is not yet completed you can see a sample menu from a previous dinner after the jump. (more…)
