“We are pleased to announce that critically-acclaimed chef Kevin Tien’s new restaurant, Emilie’s, is set to open on October 10, 2019.

“We’re really excited to bring something new to Capitol Hill, where Chef Kevin Tien and his team may share their passion and talent with the community on a larger scale,” said co-owner Sam Shoja.

The menu at Emilie’s will focus on seasonally-inspired and local ingredients and will feature large, family-style plates and smaller a la carte menu choices. In addition, diners may select from composed plates that will circulate the room on carts. (more…)

“Michelin today released the 2020 edition of the MICHELIN® Guide Washington, D.C., recognizing 18 establishments that have been awarded one or more Michelin stars, including the addition of four one-star selections to the nation’s capital.

“Our inspectors are especially impressed by the range and diversity of cuisine in Washington, D.C., which reflects Washington’s culture as a global crossroads for governments and travellers,” said Gwendal Poullennec, international director of the MICHELIN Guide. “Of the four new one-star restaurants recognized in the 2020 guide, two are contemporary, one Middle Eastern, and one Japanese, all offering rich and unique dining experiences and high-quality cooking.” (more…)

The location is still listed on the McDonald’s website – anyone know if it’s just an extensive renovation like they did in Dupont, U Street and Adams Morgan?
