“New heights is not closing permanently. They covered the bottom floor to hide the liquor while closed but plan to reopen in October. Unsure why the phone is disconnected. Spoke directly with the owner.”

Unfortunately New Heights Restaurant’s phone has been disconnected. New Heights opened in 1986. Their website says:

On Thursday I shared the great news that Taqueria Xochi “will be moving to our own full-time location on U Street in DC in September”. I happened to walk by on Saturday and the owners told me this is where they’ll be located. They plan on painting the space pink so we can’t miss it. Stay tuned for an exact opening date. (more…)

“Due to the economic hardships placed on our industry and us personally as a business, we can confirm that the difficult decision to close Rebellion DC has been made. Being shut down three separate times due to COVID-19 and a landlord unwilling to work with us on any type of rent reduction and/or deferment has made for an untenable situation. This is the most heartbreaking decision we have ever had to make. We wish the best to others who find themselves in a similar situation during this pandemic, because this sucks. (more…)
