From a press release:

“Washington, DC area institution, Takoma Station Tavern, has reopened after a 3 month break with several exciting new additions. Co-owners David Boyd and Mel Florez welcome Chef Adrian Stewart, most recently from the Congressional Country Club and trained at the Culinary Institute of America. Chef Stewart introduces a new Chill and Grill menu with soul food favorites including BBQ chicken, beef brisket, ribs, collard greens, mac and cheese and more.

This new menu is available to enjoy socially-distanced inside, for takeout, or outside at the new outdoor grill area which includes both sidewalk seating and new parklet dining. Customers will enjoy jazz quietly playing in the background during dinner until the Takoma Station stage is back in action with a nightly schedule of local artists playing live.

Takoma Station Tavern is also launching the Takoma Station Wingery Food Truck focusing on a longtime favorite menu item. The truck is available for events and is scheduled to be parked on 4th Street, NW on Friday, September 11 starting at 12:00noon and customers can enjoy a variety of wings.

About:
Takoma Station Tavern has been a destination for music and community since opening in 1984. An intimate music venue hosting a rotating, nightly mix of established and emerging artists playing blues, go go, reggae, R&B, jazz and more plus a full kitchen and bar has made Takoma Station Tavern a DC favorite for generations.
