“Sunnyside Restaurant Group’s Santa Rosa Taqueria will open its new location on Thursday, April 16th. The Capitol Hill spot, now located a few steps away from its original location at 301 Pennsylvania Avenue SE, boasts a new menu featuring contemporary Mexican dishes and an expansive margarita menu. Santa Rosa will open for lunch and dinner service with plans for weekend brunch and weekday happy hours shortly after. Proceeds from food and drink sales made during opening weekend, April 16th – 17th will be donated to World Central Kitchen in support of relief efforts in Ukraine. (more…)

Thanks to Natalie for sending: “The Chick-Fil-A (on the former Taco Bell/KFC lot) is now open in Fort Totten NE. Business looks brisk. Unsurprisingly, there’s now a bottleneck with cars trying to make a U-turn on 3rd to get over to the restaurant, as well as another bottleneck trying to turn from 3rd into the parking lot (despite the double drive-through lines).” (more…)

Well this is a bummer, Mokinbird only opened in the former Donburi space in February and already closed despite early good reviews. Updates when we learn who takes over the space.
