“Mokinbird–open and delicious!”

2438 18th Street, NW

“Dear PoPville,

Wanted to let you know that the Mokinbird smoked chicken place you wrote about a few weeks ago is open. Really good smoked chicken sandwiches and wings, plus waffle fries (!). Basic menu but delicious.

As an added endorsement, my 1 and a half year old daughter, who usually hates any meat I serve her, wolfed down two leftover wings (down to the bone!) at her lunch the next day. You can order from their website or in person. They may be the Donburi owners trying a new concept–hubs noticed that the receipt he got still said Donburi on it.”
