DC Fire and EMS quote tweeted Andrew Leyden: “The crash / overdose on Connecticut Avenue is now a fatality despite a huge effort by @dcfireems to save this victim. Likely overdose as car accident was a minor fender bender.”

Thanks to KS for sending around 2:45pm: “Car flipped at 20th and K NW. Large police presence. Northbound 20th st closed.”
Update from a reader: “I saw it happen! The car flipped four times and then a man around age thirty or late twenties went running out of the window of the car and ran away. Turns out he stole the vehicle.”

“He was going super fast and ran the red light, luckily the car stopped flipping before it went into the traffic on the other side or on a pedestrian.”
