“The third district is currently investigating a stabbing at the intersection of 16th St. and Lamont Street Northwest. An adult male is being transported to an area hospital with stab wounds to the upper body.
Motorist and pedestrians can expect road closures in the area as we investigate.
Anyone with information is asked to call 202-727-9099.”

Update from MPD:
“As an update to this incident, it was determined that both subjects were shot in the 1300 block of Columbia Road NW. Detectives and Officers on the scene have made an arrest of a suspect. In addition, a search warrant was executed at a residence, where 2 handguns were recovered.
Our investigation has determined that this was an isolated incident and the lone suspect has been apprehended.”

“On 5/3/2019, at approximately 10:05 PM, members of the Fifth District responded to the 300 block of Franklin Street, NE, for the report of a “man with a gun”. Once on the scene, the officers located two individuals, who reported being in an argument over narcotics. During the investigation, it was learned that one of the individuals pulled a knife on the other and threatened to stab him. The other suspect reportedly pointed a gun at the other individual and threatened to kill him. Officers were able to recover both the knife and the .40 caliber handgun on the scene, and placed both individuals under arrest.”

“On May 2, 2019, at approximately 6:00pm, Fourth District Crime Suppression Units executed a D.C. Superior Court search warrant in the 3500 block of 14th Street NW. During the search, a Masterpiece Arms Grim Reaper 9mm assault pistol with an extended magazine containing numerous rounds of ammunition was recovered.
Anyone with knowledge of persons possessing illegal firearms is encouraged to contact MPD at (202) 727-9099.”

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Youth and Family Services Division along with Special Agents from Federal Bureau of Investigation, Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force have announced an arrest has been made in reference to Transportation for Illegal Sexual Activity and Racketeering offenses involving juveniles, which occurred in the 1200 block of K Street, Northwest.
Since November 2018, the suspect has been under investigation for his command and promotion of commercial sexual activity involving juveniles in the Logan Circle area. (more…)

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division and the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in reference to an Unarmed Bank Robbery that occurred on Wednesday, May 1, 2019, in the 1700 block of Connecticut Avenue, Northwest.
At approximately 5:03 pm, the suspect entered a bank at the listed location. Once inside, the suspect approached the teller and presented a note demanding US currency. The teller gave the suspect an undetermined amount of US currency. The suspect then fled the scene. (more…)

“On 4/30/19 at approximately 10:35 p.m., First District officers responded to the 1300 block of Ives Place SE for a report of an assault. On the scene, officers found an adult male victim who was suffering from injuries to his face. The victim stated that he was walking in the area when he was approached by a group of 5 suspects. The suspects began punching the victim, and then fled the scene. (more…)
