From MPD 9:15pm Sunday:

“1D officers are currently on the scene of a shooting in the 1300 block of 1st St SW. An adult male suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The 1300 block of 1st St SW is currently closed to traffic. Any witnesses are encouraged to call 202-727-9099 or anonymously text 50-411 with information.”

“On 3/30/20 at approximately 0048 hours, officers from the First District responded to the intersection of 5th and L Street SE for the sounds of gunshots. On the scene, officers located firearms evidence and were also notified that a window of a residence in the 1000 block of 5th Street SE had been struck by a bullet. (more…)

A Gun was Fired Friday around 4:30pm at Washington Hospital Center “it is believed the discharge was not directed at anyone”

“On March 27, 2020 at 431 pm, the Fourth District was on scene at Washington Hospital Center when an officer heard the sound of a gunshot. That officer immediately apprehended the suspect and secured the weapon. No one was harmed during this accidental discharge and it is believed the discharge was not directed at anyone. The suspect was charged with subsequently charged for this incident.”

“The Third District is currently investigating a shooting in the 1300 block of 5th Street NW. An adult male has been transported to an area hospital with critical injuries to the lower body.

Motorists and pedestrians can expect road closures as we investigate.

“PROBABLE FATAL SHOOTING— 4th St at M St SW-DC near the Safeway grocery store and Waterfront Metro. Search in progress for a suspect.”

Update from MPD:

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that occurred on Wednesday, March 25, 2020, in the 1100 block of 4th Street, Southwest.

At approximately 5:23 pm, members of the First District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. (more…)

Shots Fired in Eckington and Petworth Tuesday Night

“ADW-Gun 2100 block of 4th Street Northeast

On Tuesday, March 24, 2020, at approximately 2042 hours the victims report that a dark colored sedan pulled into the block and parked. An unidentified suspect then exited the vehicle and shot at the victims and then fled the scene. The suspect vehicle was last seen Westbound on Rhode Island Avenue Northeast. The suspect was described by the victims as a black male wearing a ski type mask. This case is actively being investigated by the Fifth District detectives office.”

“The Fourth District is investigating an unlawful discharge of a weapon that occurred on March 24, 2020, at approximately 11:48 P M in the 300 block of Allison Street NW. Anyone with information or video is asked to contact MPD at 202-727-9099 or Text 50411.”

Shots Fired Confirmed in Petworth around 3pm; “Second MPD Member Tests Positive for COVID-19”

“The Fourth District is investigating an unlawful discharge of a weapon that occurred on March 23, 2020, at approximately 2:55 P M in the rear of the 700 Block of Shepard St NW in the south alley. A grey color vehicle was observed fleeing the scene and evidence was recovered. Anyone with information or video is asked to contact MPD at 202-727-9099 or Text 50411.”
