“…most people don’t realize that the stretch of 11th has such a bad road service because of the tracks buried underneath… the road surface breaks down because of the tracks underneath it.

Sad news shared by the great Pizzeria Paradiso yesterday:

“ANNOUNCEMENT: After 24 incredible years, Pizzeria Paradiso will close its doors on M Street. The final day will be Sunday July 26th, when we will host an open-door farewell celebration—no ticket or reservation required. Ruth Gresser (Founder/Owner) and Carlos Delgado Gonzalez (Managing Partner) will be present at 1pm to offer a complimentary farewell toast for all guests. The farewell celebration will include free slices and salads (while supplies last) as a thank you to the community.

Since opening in 2002, this location has served as a true Georgetown anchor. We have so much to be proud of as we look back on nearly a quarter-century of memories: (more…)
