“Dear PoPville,

I’m reaching out with a GoFundMe for a community member in need. The husband was detained by ICE in December and the mother and three children are now trying to self deport, but need help in the meantime. As a new mother myself, I cannot imagine the pain this family is experiencing.”

The GoFundMe says:

“Help a Mother of Three Support Her Family after Husband’s Detention Ernesto*, a devoted husband and father, was on his way to his job in construction in Washington, DC on December 10 when he was detained by ICE, leaving behind his loving wife, Ana*, and their children – two daughters, age 7 and 8, and a 3-year-old son. With Ernesto in a detention center thousands of miles away in Texas, Ana is left to care for their three young children alone, all while struggling with the heartbreak of their separation. (more…)
