M. reports around 6:40pm last night (Wed.): “At the four-way intersection of 1st and N Streets NW, 100 yards from the entrance to Dunbar HS. An intersection that feeds onto NY Ave and is mayhem during rush hours.”

The liquor license placard for Zanzibar says:

“New Class C Restaurant with a Seating Capacity of 88 and a total load of 88 inside. Summer Garden with 36 Seats. Total Occupancy Load of 124 for the entire premises along with a Streatery with 15 Seats. The Licensee is also requesting the Alcohol Carry–out and Delivery Endorsement, and an Entertainment Endorsement to provide cover charge, dancing and live entertainment inside of the premises.”
