“The DMV’s oldest (since 1987!) and biggest (130+ people/families selling stuff at 80+ Adams Morgan addresses!) community yard sale is happening on Saturday (5/17, 9AM-1PM+). See the map below.
This year, we have more sellers at more addresses than we have EVER had in our 38-year history! Like 2x-3x what we had last year! (more…)

Folks that live in the area brought down the barrel and the cones.
The local business owners have been calling 311 and asking for help. DDOT representatives were here this week looking at the problem.
Our collective concern is that if this isn’t fixed before the Pride Parade, the potential exists for someone to be hurt. (more…)

“The Metropolitan Police Department’s Major Crash Investigations Unit is investigating a fatal hit and run crash that occurred early Sunday morning in Northwest.
On Sunday, May 11, 2025, at approximately 3:30 a.m., First District officers responded to the intersection of 7th Street and New York Avenue, Northwest for report of a crash. A stolen White 2017 Infiniti QX60 traveling northbound on 7th Street struck a motor driven cycle at the intersection. The occupants of the stolen Infiniti fled on foot following the crash. The moped operator was located unconscious and transported to an area hospital. (more…)
