I am Munchie, your soon to be best buddy, ready to add some tail-wagging fun to your life! I don’t believe it’s possible to be too large to be a lap dog. My heart is big, and I love giving cuddles to humans large and small. Plus I am told I have the softest fur on earth. There’s no need to worry about being lonely when I’m around! I am a real charmer with a zest for playing with other dogs and humans, but I am also good at playing with toys on my own. On top of that, I do well in my crate. I’m a champ in the car, and I also know the words “sit”, “out”, and “no”. While I self identify as a miniature Saint Bernard, behavioral analysis indicates a fair amount of muppet in my ancestral mix. I’m not above dramatic flops and facial expressions to make sure everyone understands me.
So, what do you say? Let’s make some memories and fetch some fun together. I am looking forward to meeting you, so apply today!
Lafayette has been through a lot, but he doesn’t have a mean bone in his body. He’s a simple guy with simple wants who would make a perfect laid-back companion. He’s relatively low-energy, sleeping most of the day, preferably near you. His favorite bed is a cardboard box. He loves to be brushed and pet. He occasionally wants to snuggle, tolerates being held, and is becoming more affectionate all the time as he learns to trust humans again.
Lafayette is partially blind, but he is able to navigate spaces with ease. He’s not a jumper, so he won’t be jumping on your kitchen counter. He doesn’t play with toys, but he’s very curious and likes to open drawers and closet doors to explore inside. Lafayette would do best in a small, quiet home. He tolerates his canine foster sibling, but would probably be happier without a barking dog around. Lafayette is a unique and insanely sweet fellow who is so deserving of a second chance. Could that be with you? He sure hopes so. Apply today!
“Dear PoPville,
My daughter and husband have been living in DC for four years. She was denied DC tag because her father (who is also a DC resident) files Taxes jointly with me who resides in MD. Would love to have a conversation about how to challenge this.”

“Dear PoPville,
I would be grateful if you could poll the hive mind about people’s experiences with dog training programs where the dogs are boarded for one or two weeks and undergo obedience training. We have a couple of sweet but stubborn pups that would benefit from professional training, Read More
“Dear PoPville,
Tonight (Thursday) my neighbor was carjacked with cops several blocks away. I live on the first floor and noticed someone in the street with their hands in the air in surrender as cars revved on our normally quiet street. Moments later she was knocking on my door begging for help. Read More
“Dear PoPville,
Does anyone live (or have a contact who lives) at 2109 10th Street, NW? Two of my packages were recently misdelivered to that address (unit available upon request), and I’d greatly appreciate any help to get them! I can definitely provide ID to prove that I’m the individual to whom the packages are addressed. Thanks for any assistance folks can offer!”
