From Old Europe:

“Dear friends and patrons of Old Europe,

On Monday afternoon, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser announced that starting at 10 PM, all restaurants and bars in DC would be temporarily closed for dine-in service. Old Europe is of course, no exception, so in order to ensure you can still get your German food fix, we are shifting to DELIVERY AND TAKEOUT SERVICE ONLY.

At the moment, the restaurant will be open for orders from a limited menu from 11 AM until 8 PM. As we announced in the previous email, delivery through us is FREE now with no minimum! We are also partnered with third-party delivery apps Doordash and UberEats. Please see below for more details.

UPDATE: Recent legislation passed by the DC Government now permits the sale of beer and wine for takeout and delivery. As such, Old Europe will now be offering our BOTTLED BEERS and BOTTLED WINES alongside our takeout options! Draft beers and wine by the “glass” will also be available for purchase, however you must bring your own container (growler, bottle, ect.). We know it’s still not the same as sitting in our dining room to enjoy good food and good beer, but we hope it’ll bring you a bit of familiarity during these unusual times. Thank you to everyone who has already placed takeout or delivery orders with us, or purchased a gift card. Your support is greatly appreciated during these difficult times, and your words of encouragement and love for Old Europe mean a lot. Thank you.

OLD EUROPE’S DELIVERY & TAKEOUT SERVICE
Old Europe will be open for a limited delivery and takeout service from 11 AM until 8 PM Tuesday through Sunday during the temporary dine-in closure. We are partnered with Doordash and UberEats for third-party delivery, but we are also happy to provide FREE DELIVERY with no minimum. Please allow 40-50 minutes for delivery.

This rental is located at 3345 18th near Monroe. The Craigslist ad says:

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
