“stopped at the light on the corner of 13th and U St NW. All of a sudden we heard a crash and saw that my windshield had been smashed.”

A reader reports:

“This incident happened Sunday night around 8:30pm. I was in the car with my boyfriend, stopped at the light on the corner of 13th and U St NW. All of a sudden we heard a crash and saw that my windshield had been smashed. At first I thought it was gunshots so we quickly drove away to compose ourselves. We realized this couldn’t have been a bullet so we parked and walked back to the scene and found this rock on the ground.

Somehow in the middle of this busy intersection someone managed to hurl this rock at my car for no apparent reason and without being seen. Has anyone else had this happen to them on U St!?

This comes 4 weeks after having my driver side door rammed while parked outside my house. Getting tired of this random crime happening over and over.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
